Yeah I played GW for a good 8 months it's a good game but I don't like pvp that much so it got boring. I bought WOW, at first the cartoonish gfx threw me off but the freedom of an open world soon captivated me. NO load times, you can travel to other zones either by mass transit (boats zepplins) or fly on a big bird for a small fee.And unlike GW you can go anywhere and actuallly fall of a ledge and die if ur not carefull.However if GW comes out with an expansion i'll buy it cause eavery once in a while you need to change things up. O yeah WOW is better (sorry )

I'd like guild wars more if I actually liked the pvp. All I really like is GVG and PVE when I first started.

Damn... I'm level 23 and I only have 3 gold. Everytime I start to build up some, I end up spending it on stuff, usually new skills. Maybe I need to go farm the WC a couple more times.

Ok, I've been GW's number one fan boy since E3 for everyone over a year ago. I did the no sleep beta weekends and everything. But I purchased WoW last night much to my chagrin because I'd bashed it relentlessly to everyone I know. I need something to tide me over the next few months till GW chapter 2 comes out and DSII was just not fun.

I did a 10 day trial (which I recommend before you buy it). I didn't like it at first, because I tried not to. "It sucks having to run everywhere", "It sucks because people can see me outside of town", "It sucks because I can plunge to my death". But then I started to see its advantages "Its a massively huge world", "People can save my Warlock butt when I aggro to much/I can save their butt when they're getting killed", "I wonder if I'll live if I jump off this zeplin (note: yes if it's stopped, no if it's moving).

Don't think I'm gone from GW, not by any means, because it's still my game of choice and the PvP is still SOOOOO much better. I just can't bring myself to save the world from the titans for the 5th time.

if any of you do go wow while ur waitin for the GW xpansion go to warcraftrealms.com and make sure you pick a server with an equal balance of horde and alliance, its just more fun. either PVP PVE or RP if u pick a realm and ur outnumbered 6;1 not fun

I did a CTF game, and although the team got 16 kills, one idiot toyed with the opposing flag, like she was GIVING it to the horde!

Well, you get the trial off a friend who has got WoW for the server. you need his CDs and the CDKEY in order to create an account. And yes, it does start to cost you when the time is up, unless you go full-out and buy it yourself so you can trial it 20 more days (plus whatever you pay by at first)

am i correct on the 20 days more (30 total?) that you have to make a nonrefundable purchase of the game itself?

in which case if you dont like it you close the account and are only out the 50? dollars the game cost?

hmm... afaik yes, there is no other way that you can 'Safely' buy and install it... and also, I think the account gets LOCKED after the 10-day CD-lend trial period. Let me just check...

Yes, you have to BUY the game in order to play again. But if you have Xfire (or a communications method) and a guild on there it'll be slightly easier to get the items for the new character.
